Gresham Bible Church Update

April 19, 2018 admin

Last week Dave Berry and I were blessed to be in Louisville, Kentucky for the Together for the Gospel (T4G) conference. The time was equipping, energizing and profoundly significant. You can watch all of the plenary sessions and panel discussion HERE. All of the messages are strong. If you are only going to watch/listen to a few I recommend: Thabiti, Ligon, and Chandler.

Below is a brief update on the life and ministry of GBC.

Here is how you can pray for GBC and our work in the world

  • 70 women will gather at Damascus Community Church for our annual women's retreat. Please pray that God will use the time to help our women grow in Christ.

Here is what's happening in the life of the church

  • New Deacons
On Sunday we presented 5 deacon candidates: Jason and Lynsey Bock, Brett Hooper, and Bryan and Chris McClelland. They have already served our church well. We plan to install them in just a couple of weeks.

  • Children's Ministry
GBC is blessed with a lot of toddlers! We’d love to fully staff our Seeds classroom on our upcoming schedule. We are in need of 2-3 more helpers. Please contact Lisa or Megan if you are willing and able to serve once a month in this class.

  • Camp Out Registration
So far, 110 people are registered! 7 yome sites remain along with 20 tent/RV sites. Register online HERE or by using paper registration forms located on the resource table on Sunday morning. Simply fill one out and place it in the offering box. The deadline for early registration is May 21st.

  • New Meals Ministry Coordinator
I am very happy to announce that Karah Busby is GBC's new meals ministry coordinator. Please encourage our sister and pray for her success.

  • Student Ministries
Our students are currently reading through Deuteronomy for 2 weeks. Most recently, they read through Numbers 9-25 a total of 58 times. Thank you for your continued support of us in prayer!

Our Upcoming Gathering

Lord willing, Dave Berry will lead our service, Marc will lead us in singing and I will preach John 10. Please pray for our gathering, read over the text
