Update Email 8.9.2017

August 9, 2017 Admin GBC

Church Family,

We will NOT hold service at Dexter McCarty this coming Sunday (8/13). Instead, our weekly gathering will be held at Promontory Parkon Saturday (8/12) at 6:15pm. If you are unable to camp with us this weekend, we would love to have you join us for service on Saturday followed by our talent show.

Below is a brief update on the life and ministry of GBC.

Here is how you can pray for GBC and our work in the world

  • Please pray that the Lord would use our camp out to continue to strengthen the bond of unity in our church. Pray for the deepening of Christ-centered relationships and for the germination of new friendships.

Here is what’s happening in the life of the church

  • Community Care Day, Saturday, 8/268-10am
Our work day for Dexter McCarty is an opportunity to serve our community in a practical way by beautifying the school campus before students return to school. Our work day is also a way of tangibly blessing the city in Jesus’ name. So let’s make the most of this opportunity to bear witness of Christ by showing up in force and working hard. Please plan to join us on Saturday, 8/26 8-10am.

  • Robinson Good-Bye
Roger and Kristin Robinson are moving to Colorado to be closer to family and enjoy a slower pace of life. For several years Roger and Kristin have been faithful members of Gresham Bible Church. We will send them off warmly during our upcoming gathering.

  • Student Ministries
High School – No group this coming Sunday due to the camp out.
JR. High – This Wednesday, August 9th, BBQ at the Biggerstaff’s 6:30-8:30pm

  • Camp Out Information
Please remember to bring a camp chair for service.
If you would like to participate in the talent show, please contact Nicole Chase.

Our Upcoming Gathering

Lord willing, Marc will lead us in singing and I will preach Psalm 78. Please pray for our gathering, read over the text and come ready to worship.
